Peter Doan : Co-Owner

Pete is the co-owner and head coach at 924 CrossFit. Pete found his passion for fitness during his time in the Marine Corps. He enjoys applying some of the same principles that he developed and learned in the Marines to his CrossFit coaching. When Pete is not coaching you can find him with his wife Molly and two dogs. He enjoys traveling and visiting new places but most importantly he enjoys the opportunity to engage with all the great people in the 924 community.

Tim Schlabach : Co-Owner

Tim Schlabach is a Holmes County native and co-owner of 924 CrossFit. After playing college basketball, he’s tried to maintain a healthy lifestyle over the years, opting for much of the traditional workout programs he grew up doing. Then in February of 2012, Tim did his first CrossFit workout and knew this was it. To make a long story short, one year later he was getting his CrossFit Level 1 Certification and in March of 2013 opened the gym with Pete. Even though he’s reached “Masters” level, he feels he has some good years left in him and plenty to offer to the 924 family. He loves the CrossFit community and looks forward to many great successes from 924 CrossFit and its athletes.

Landon Troyer

Meet Landon, our local Aussie. Born in Ohio, growing up on a local farm Landon played sports in high school and enjoyed a lot of activity. After high school Landon made a 7 year trip to the land down under to volunteer with a non-profit organization Youth With A Mission
While there he continued his pursuit of sport and athletics playing rugby, Australian rules football, volleyball, soccer as well as various other team sports. In 2008 he began to focus on the training aspect of fitness and pursued a certificate in Athletic enhancement. Landon began to Train individuals and groups in sprint mechanics, speed, agility and strength training. On returning home to Ohio Landon regularly began training at 924 crossFit and enjoyed expanding his own fitness Progressing in his coaching Landon received his level 1 in July of 2012. He continues to coach and train here where he covers the beginners classes.

Julie Kaufman

Julie ("JAK") began her CrossFit journey in the Spring of 2013. Although hesitant at first she quickly grew to love the varied workouts and the friendly atmosphere. When she's not at the gym you can usually find her in her kitchen cooking new recipes. She also enjoys hiking, gardening and going on family adventures. Julie is married to Dave and they have two daughters.

Jordan Stoltzfus

Jordan has been coaching and competing at CrossFit for over a year. He fell in love with it after seeing the physical and mental changes that it brought. He also loves to see the physical and mental changes that it brings in others.

Karli Stroud

Karli Stroud is a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She graduated from WHHS in 2004, BGSU in 2008 with a bachelor of applied health sciences, and finally Walsh university 2011 with a doctorate of physical therapy. Currently, she practices PT at Pomerene Hospital, Majora Lane, and Promotion Therapy Home health services. She is married, has two dogs and lives in Millersburg. She began her crossFit journey in November 2013 at 9:24 CrossFit.

Jess Troyer

Jess has always been a part of some sort of athletics since she was a young girl. In pursuit of finding a new way of exercise and physical fitness after basketball, Jess began CrossFit in March of 2013. She's been in love with it ever since. She enjoys competing in local competitions but most of all building relationships with those who are a part of the 9:24 community. She attended a Level 1 Seminar in the fall of 2013 to improve her knowledge and to have the ability to coach others. CrossFit has had a major impact on her life both physically and mentally and she hopes to see others achieve the same results.

Dustin Kaufman
  • CrossFit Level 1 Trainer

Dustin can almost always be found at the gym in the afternoon classes. He lives right in Berlin and has been a member at the gym since April 2013. He started coming as just a casual person looking for a way to stay in shape but was quickly won over by the friendly social atmosphere and great workouts 9:24 CrossFit offered. His interest grew and prompted him to get his Level 1 coaches certification in November of 2013. Dustin is usually doing one of three things, working out, working on deficiencies or talking. Most likely talking but he is always available to answer any questions you may have and help you with movements or workouts you may not understand. He is easy to approach and happy to help.
